Sonic The Hedgehog In Video Games

The first ever appearance made by sonic the hedgehog in video games world was in the game named as the ‘Rad Mobile’. It was basically a racing game. This games was then modified to another game series produced by Sega Corporation under the Sega Saturn series. Then came the major appearance of the main character of Sonic the hedgehog of video games in a game named as Sonic the Hedgehog for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. This game also marked the entry of Dr. Robotic in Sonic the hedgehog video games series.

Apart from various numbers of video games featuring Sonic the hedgehog, there are so many two-dimensional platformers that also witnessed the appearance of sonic the hedgehog. To name a few appearances of Sonic the hedgehog of video games in other mediums then the major games to be included in this list are Sonic Chaos in 1993, Sonic Triple Trouble in 1994, Sonic Blast in 1996, Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure in 1999, Sonic Advance in 2001, Sonic Advance 2 in 2002, Sonic Advance 3 in 2004, Sonic Rush in 2005 and Sonic Rush Adventure in 2007.

The game which marked the reentry of Sonic the hedgehog of video games as a main character is the game called as Sonic Adventure and it came in the year 1999. This game presents the character of Sonic the hedgehog returning after spending his vacations to figure out that the city of Station Square has been attacked by a new, very strong enemy called Chaos, under the control of Dr. Robotnik who is popularly called as Dr. Eggman now.

Another appearance made by sonic the hedgehog in video games is seem in another game named as the Sonic and the Secret Rings that came into the market in the year 2007. It presents the character of Sonic in a story book world of the “Arabian Nights”.

There are some of the video games featuring Sonic the hedgehog like Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine in 1993, Knuckles Chaotix in 1995, Tails’ Skypatrol in 1995, Tails Adventure in 1995, and Shadow the Hedgehog in 2005 but mostly in cameos roles and not as a leading character.
